  • F. Lee Bailey, one of Mr. Schroeder's former trial adversaries, was quoted as saying that he decided to resolve his client's case in the middle of trial, in favor of Mr. Schroeder's client, largely due to Mr. Schroeder's strong opening statement.  "Bob Schroeder gave one of the better opening statements I've ever heard.  He did it entirely without notes", Bailey said.  After hearing Mr. Schroeder's opening statement, Bailey said that "it was clear there was nothing to be gained" by proceeding with the trial.
  • Former Assistant Distrcit Attorney in New York (4 years).
  • Former Assistant United States Attorney in Atlanta, Georgia. (10 years).
  • Former Associate Independent Counsel, Office of Independent Counsel, Washington, D.C. (1 year).  Larry D. Thompson served as the Independent Counsel during Mr. Schroeder's tenure, and later, as the Deputy Attorney General of the United States. 
  • Lead attorney in Office of Independent Counsel's investigation of allegations of fraud, mismanagement and abuse at the United States Department of Housing and Urban Developement (HUD).
  • Lead prosecutor in the Office of Independent Counsel's prosecution of a former Cabinet Secretary.
  • Recipient of numerous awards, including the United States Department of Justice's Award for Outstanding Service to the Nation.
  • Has served as an instructor to attorneys and Government officials throughout the United States on various investigatory, evidentiary and trial topics.
  • Has received commendations from former President Jimmy Carter, Attorney General Janet Reno, FBI Director Louis Freeh, among other officials.
  • Former adjunct professor of law in litigation at Emory University School of Law.
  • Was asked in 2008 by former FBI Director Louis Freeh, the Bankruptcy Examiner in a multi-billion dollar case involving the bankruptcy filing of an energy and commodities trading company, to lead his investigation and prepare the Final Report (http://www.tulsaworld.com/webextra/content/items/SemGroupExaminerReport.pdf). 
  • Performed a confidential investigation for the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals while in private practice.
  • Appointed by the United States District Court in Atlanta to the Board of Directors of the Federal Defender Program.
  • Former national co-chairman of the White-Collar Crime Subcommittee of the Federalist Society.
  • Serves as a Master of an American Inn of Court (the Bleckley Inn of Court in Atlanta, Georgia).
  • Was a founding member, and former Vice-President and member of the Board of Directors, of Hands-on-Atlanta, a nationally-recognized, non-profit volunteer service organization.
  • Hands-on-Atlanta was a model for President Bill Clinton's AmeriCorps program, and was a recipient of a "Point of Light" award from President George H.W. Bush, during Mr. Schroeder's tenure.
  • Former member of the Board of Advisors for Hughes Spalding Children's Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Former member of the Board of Directors for Jacob's Ladder, a non-profit neurodevelopmental learning center in Georgia.
  • Former member of the Board of Education for Cathedral of Christ the King, Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Former Member of the Finance Committee for Sacred Heart Church, Atlanta, Georgia.
  • Has appeared as a legal analyst on national and local television and radio stations on various occassions.
